Was pretty fun to point out plot points, and Steve Heck is a priceless character. Anyway looking forward to Mad max, thunderdome was the worst of all 3 movies, it wasn't TWILIGHT levels of bad, but it was still pretty bad. Anyone who has played fallout 1 will notice that several of the characters are based off those in thunder dome (mad max owned dogmeat, Gizmo is the barter town clerk, Killian is loosely based on Tina Turners character.) Wish I had the stuff and the connection to stream it myself since I still have all 3 movies on my laptop. The Pitt is also loosely based on Thunderdome so that will be fun to. We should make a spot the similarities drinking game for this, nobody would be driving home after that one.

STUFF ABOUT THE AP LIVEPLAY


Also, how would you guys like another additional playthrough with AP before I move on to another game? I always wanted to do a nearly complete psychopath, and it seems being a psychopath in game is very hilarious. Basically he'll be an asshole to everybody that either A: Try to be funny or B: Annoy the fook out of him by wanting him to do nice and be non-lethal. He's pressing that eliminate button if it's someone he doesn't like or is a badguy that has nothing major wrong with his background.


Like say if he met a Taiwanese person working for the Mainland Chinese Secret Police, he would call bullshit on that and try to find more out about him BEFORE killing him, he will also be willing to let you live if you have information on him being lied to or being used, this Michael would HATE that alot. The video attached is an example of the dialogue you'll get if you get psychopathic(Aggressive) enough in the game.

Up to you man, as long as none of you do anything stupid with the alcohol I'm willing to somewhat particpate with non-alcoholic drinks due to the fact that the only alcohol in the house is off limits due to it being horrendously expensive in Canada thanks to taxes. (The money for the socialized healthcare had to come from somewhere.)

Got the movie, we should be all set for Friday. Especially curious how the forum members will say once they get sufficiently drunk off their asses. I wonder if we'll be able to fit in the "Can't we just get BEYOND thunderdome" joke during the viewing.

In the first five minutes: the kid in the opening is wearing the same outfit as Mayor Macready, Take a shot! The clerk looks just like Gizmo, take a shot! Max's shotgun, take a shot! Max's armor, Take a shot! It's going to be a long fuzzy night, and I don't know if I'll be finishing the game if I want to stay conscious!

As to why there was no Misery Channel last weekend, that was due to the fact the air conditioning broke down. While it was about 36 Celsius(around 100 Fahrenheit) outside.

Delayed time for the showing is now 2PM Today thanks to the alarm clock not having a battery level.

EDIT: Was...well quite bad. The Lead actor is apparently from either the future or past on account of having an accent nobody else can produce currently, plot points are quickly created and forgotten about(That whole "kid is taking drugs" thing? NEVER BROUGHT UP AGAIN), and this was all made with $7 million dollars! (Though apparently the lyrics to "Happy Birthday" is copyrighted, so apparently that's where most of the money went. Talk about a colossal waste of money.

So I've decided to make the liveplay of the games a weekend thing, if only because I really like this and its much easier for me to get games(since I have a bunch of them) since usually games at least provide a bit more fun than movies. (Anybody remember that disatrous showin of twilight without rifftrax?)

So as of today's liveplays, we finished Alpha Protocol, frankly enough just go to the site and watch the videos, it's much easier than be explaining what happened every liveplay.

We have also done half of HAWX, going from supporting a Ghost Recon squad to defending the capital of the United States(and uhm causing multiple friendly fire incidents with the Pentagon, the Capitol Building, and the White House. No I did not certainly kill the President.)

After HAWX will be a game I like + mods, Dragon Age Origins. If only because I like RPGs. What mods? I'll reveal them as they come into play. Which will most likely start tommorow since HAWX is so effng short.

INFO ABOUT LIVELPLAYS

HAWX Liveplay is done, plot was about as idiotic as a Michael Bay movie, but hey, the gameplay was fun....even if they couldn't get some of the planes right(The Mig Foxhound is an air superiority fighter in HAWX)

Dragon Age Liveplay, first we did Darkspawn Chronicles, which while being a hour of you playing Darkspawn killing pretty much anything that stands between the Archdemon and victory, did give some insights on how ALlistair would have fared without the Protagnist. Pretty much a dark grey morality, he sided with the Templars, Werewolves, allowed the Anvil to be used, let Arl Howe lived, and finally, he had the AUDACITY to start a romance with Leilana. somehow managed to recruit all possible party members except for Shale

and Loghain.

Then we did Leilana's Song, in which before she even got her bard duties, was betrayed by Marjolaine when she tried to retreieve troop movement papers taken from an Orelsian Revered Mother. We also humiliated a man by turning him from a drunk guard captain on duty to an apostate murdering thieving drunk guard captain on duty. We would have also pinned the visiting Arl's BDSM suspect undergarments on him, but since he's a big supporter of the Chantry, we decided to put it on the board anyway.


Then we started the original campaign as a male Human noble, modded so as a two-handed warrior our armour and weapons don't suck, Howe betrays our family by purposely delaying his troops so when our troops leave for ostagar, his come in to attack the castle. We retrieved the family heirlooms(a shield and a sword), just met Ser Gilmore who told us where Aedan's dad is.

Next Liveplay weekend is after the showing of the misery channel.

The next movie is the Super Mario Bros movie. This pretty much jumpstarted the trend of video game movies and of video game movies being downright awful. Check original post for the time.

LIVEPLAY UPDATE
The Third Saints Row Update will take place in a flashback format of sorts, as I'm just finishing the Brotherhood and Ronin missions and then replaying them in order, that way you don't have to watch me drive from place to place as I do activities to increase my respect.

Also, the next game after Saints Row 2 will be Republic Commando, if only because the squad AI in that game are competent. Next user selected game after RC will be Mercenaries 2 as of this time.

MISERY CHANNEL UPDATE

I'm getting ready to start updating this again, and I think I'm going to start with the starship troopers series. So at Friday 4:00 PM GMT, we'll watch Starship Troopers!



LIVEPLAY UPDATE

Today, 4PM GMT, we play Silent Storm as Daniel "Fuhrer" Schroeder, a German sniper of the Axis. After that, we'll once again join Saul Myers in his search for his daugher in the country of BoliviaRealia.

MISCELLANEOUS

So I've been thinking, how about I do this little pseudo liveplay of sorts? It'll be shorter than the main parts, but basically it would be me playing UFO: ALien Invasion using FOOKunity members. On Normal Mode. The game has been described a more survival horror squad based game. And theres only 8 squad members you can send on a mission(initially). Plus i'll be adding members as pilots. Who drop like flies against UFOs.

Yeah I'm so glad fookunity has a big list of members. Also, we only get 1 extra troop at the start, and we only get 9 troops per month.

MISERY CHANNEL UPDATE: We continue with the Starship Troopers saga with Starship Troopers 2!

LIVEPLAY UPDATE: We have taken our first casualties in Silent STorm and UFO:AI, with Toki dying in S2 and some random FOOK operative dying in UFO:AI.


Also of note, I've been thinking to do a special liveplay in September of Fallout 3, FO1, Fo2, Fallout Tactics, Fallout Brotherhood of Steel, or just any Obsidian game in general. Or some unexpected choice like the Sims 3 since all the games we played so far are action in style.
