I JUST HAD A REALLY EVIL THOUGHT... you know how in EWE I've replaced that museum pulse pistol with a Wattz 1200 laser pistol? What if instead I just REMOVE it altogether! Like all those other museum stands that are supposed to have cool-sounding weapons like railguns and things but are all empty... I'll put the item description back to being the pulse pistol again... and just taunt the player with the description of the pulse pistol! And the player will have to wait ages before being able to actually get one! Mwuahahaha!

HEAVY WIP.
I will let you assume anything you want, based on that small picture. But the mesh is still being made (by me, im slow) and the texture is only 50% finished (what you see sux), and the "Projectile" (hehehe) is the most top secret of all
BTW, I couldn't help myself, I just *had* to get a head-start on some ERROR stuffs. Here's a first look
Been super busy in RL too, so my EVE time is cut down 75%. I suck at modeling (even though the Pulse grenades and mines RULE, i know..) but EVE 096 is gonna be pretty heavy with new weapons and stuff. So far its looking like THREE new Big Guns, one new mine, and one new 2hand rifle. Also, there will be FOUR new animated Ash/Goo piles.
(A new Perk, and schematics weps will be AFTER EVE 0.9.6)

Whatever it is, it already looks awesome!
If you are making brand new types of robot for ERROR, you might like to take a look at some of the robots from Fallout Tactics, see if any of those inspire you.

THANKS!!! That was quite useful! I saved all those pics to my computer.
Yeah... I was thinking the Scurry bots, the Turret, and the Hoverbots! I started the Hoverbots already. That spider pic was a form of Scurry bot. But i didnt have any picture... so... i just based it off of memory 
Maybe I can try again now that i have that reference picture. I want to make it at least pretty close to the original Scurry Bot. Now i can see MY spider thing isnt too close to that spider  my bad
Classic turret and Hoverbot will be a snap, even for a n00b modeler like me

As for the walking, that is something that LordInquisitor and myself and clunking heads together trying to get figured out. No worries, between the two of our genius, we are bound to get it. Errr, just so you know, we actually got 1 out of 8 legs finished/figured out hehehe. (Chopped the juicy leg off of a Scorpion and repclaced with metal leg from my spider, coolness! it lives, IT LIVES!!! mwahahahaha)

That's OK - there are many differences between Fallout 3's robots and their apparences in Fallout 1 and 2. And Fallout Tactics redesigned the P94 plasma rifle. So redesigning a Fallout Tactics robot is no big deal.
Also, I think some of the robots in Fallout Tactics were designed by Calculator, a supercomputer gone crazy and evil. Some of the robots are supposed to be based on pre-existing robots (like the loader and tank robots) but it is likely that Calculator built some new types too. The scurry bots might have been designed by Calculator... and Calculator might have done many different designs.

Energy Weapons Enhanced is pretty much finished!
I'll be releasing it here for testing first.
Now I've got to package it all up...
As well as the esm and esp files and meshes for extra weapons (glock 86 plasma pistol and YK42B pulse rifle) I've also got new reskins of many of weijiesen's EVE textures, such as the P94 plasma rifle, the standard plasma rifle, plasma pistol, standard laser rifle and standard laser pistol.
I've also replaced sound effects... vanilla Fallout 3 laser rifle now uses Fallout Tactics laser rifle sounds, Wattz 2000 Laser Rifle now uses classic Fallout 2 laser rifle sound. (Though I am still undecided on the Wattz 2000 thing since I quite like weijiesen's sound effect for it.) Wattz 1000 laser pistols (and protecteron's gaze and smuggler's end) use classic Fallout 2 laser pistol sounds. P94 plasma rifles (including A3-21's plasma rifle) uses the classic Fallout 2 plasma rifle sound. Vanilla Fallout 3 plasma rifle uses Fallout Tactics plasma rifle sound. (I REALLY like the sound of this one.) Vanilla Fallout 3 plasma pistol uses weijiesen's plasma rifle sound. Pulse pistol and pulse rifle uses classic Fallout 2 pulse weapon sounds.
This means that almost all energy weapons now have some kind of classic sound effect. Classic laser and plasma and pulse weapons use classic laser and plasma and pulse sound effects. While Fallout 3's vanilla energy weapons either use weijiesen's new sound effects, or Fallout Tactics sound effects.

Hope the first test run goes smoothly for ya.
Kinda sux to get swamp by beta testers with links to pics of errors or something when using your mod.
This "season" is the busy season in my line of work. This month and next will be totally hell for me. I've been sitting in taxis for days. Some overtime stuffs. Just entirely too busy to make even an ounce of progress on EVE lately.
When things easy up on me I hope the next thing I put up here is a FINISHED pic of that Plasma Thrower in action.

One question: can you change the "charge-time" for a minigun before it starts firing?
Because I have a concept of a Plasma-cannon, were the claws of the P94-likes start rolling and, after 1.5 sec of charge, iot fires the whole Microfusion Cell in a big ball of Plasma. Of course, it will have to fire one shot per recharge.

last night got a lot farther. In that one small photo, the gun looks pretty black/dark. But im texturing it to "match" the other plasma weapons in EVE. Mostly matching the color/style of EVE's plasma rifle.

Wow! That's a great idea! Like an "alternate fire" that expends an entire Microfusion Cell. I'm sure it would require FOSE, but i have been thinking that for some cool stuff like "alternate firing modes" perhaps there CAN be a version of EWE released that uses FOSE for some cool stuffs like that
EDIT: OK I just spent an hour or so working on the Plasma Thrower's front end. Here's the latest screen.

The textures are 100% from scratch so it takes a longer time. I'm starting from the tip of the gun and working my way back. Making sure every square inch of the gun is finely detailed with a precise and fitting texture. This weapon's textures will easily rival those of the Plasma Rifle. Also, laser weapons had a "big gun" but plasma didn't, so this is going to be a staple weapon in everyone's backpack. This weapon is purely custom. Everything from the model, to the sounds, textures, projectile, muzzleflash, and pipboy icon are 100% of my own doing and unlike ANY other weapon in FO3.
Hugepinball directed me to a screenshot from an episode of Star Trek that showed their hull breached and a "Plasma fire" erupting out from a vital emissions pipeline stemming from the ship's reactor.

For all of you BigGuns and Plasma fans out there, keep holding your breath, as this could very be the most "high quality" weapon I've ever made.
